Ed Green, the owner of the SV Malaita has spent over 25 years sailing Asian-Pacific and Great Barrier Reef waters, coming ashore occasionally to work on Natural Resource projects to ensure the sustainability of the marine environment. His dream of sharing this environment with others led to his building of the Malaita, providing a low impact and fun marine experience for others.
Eric Schell, a long time Port Douglas local and enthusiastic sailor, when not attending to his garden and ornithological interests, now does what he likes best - sailing and snorkelling. He brings a wealth of local knowledge about the reefs and waters of Port Douglas and is reputed to know many of the local marine life by their first names.
